Can I program SimpliciKey remote control keyfobs for multiple SimpliciKey locks?

For security reasons, once a remote control keyfob is programmed to a lock, it will only work with that lock. You can certainly program it to another lock, but once you do, it will no longer work with the lock in which it was originally programed (until you program it back).

Does SimpliciKey offer a lock without an inside lever in case someone smashed a window?

All of our deadbolts are constructed the same way—with a manual thumbturn on the inside of the home.

Can SimpliciKey be re-keyed to match our other door locks?

Yes! Simply remove the metal plate on the back of the keypad (4 Phillips screws). Then slide the keyway out of the cavity. Take the keyway to a lock professional for rekeying. The keyway we use is a 6-pin Schlage.

How long should the battery last in my SimpliciKey keyfob?

Depending on use, the battery in your keyfob remote should last over a year. To change the battery, pry the casing open at the slot on the lower left of the fob and carefully push the battery out of its holder. The battery is a 3-volt CR2025.

I lost my manual and forgot my admin code. What can I do?

Just call us at 800-785-6595, or use “Contact Us” from www.simplicikey.com to email us. We will instruct you in a procedure with your SimpliciKey that will allow us to generate your unique admin code for you.

Does SimpliciKey operate in cold weather, or near salt water?

SimpliciKey has been successfully tested in cold temperatures and in humid, salt water atmospheres in our testing facilities, and in the field. We have many satisfied customers in some of the most frigid temperatures in North America, as well as in beach communities. Further, SimpliciKey is a certified ANSI Grade II product and meets or exceed ANSI/BHMA Grade 2 standards, the highest non-commercial residential security for door locks.

Do you offer any special discounts on your SimpliciKey Remote Control Electronic Deadbolt system (Seniors, military, AAA, government, etc.)?

Special discounts may be offered by SimpliciKey’s retailers, as they choose.

Can I purchase additional keyfobs for my SimpliciKey Remote Control Electronic Deadbolt?

Yes, our remote control keyfobs are available at most of SimpliciKey’s online retailers, and at Simplicikey.com.

Are there any extra materials I need to purchase for my SimpliciKey Remote Control Electronic Deadbolt?

Yes, four AA batteries are required for operation and are not included. Each remote control keyfob comes with a 3 Volt CR2025 battery installed.
